Neck Lift
Excess fatty tissue and loose skin at the neck area are the signs of aging process. The fatty tissue that accumulates along the jawline appears as a double chin, creating deep and fine wrinkles. Neck Lift is a procedure that removes excess fat and portion of loose skin, thus eliminating the band lines or double chins.
About Neck Lifts
Neck Lifts can also be performed in conjunction with a Facelift and are an effective way to create a youthful jaw and neckline. In addition, Neck Lifts can be used to thin a fatty neck while simultaneously correcting any banding and/or wrinkles along the neck.
Considering a well-contoured, young-looking neck is a symbol of youth, a Neck Lift in conjunction with a Facelift is a great way to achieve an overall more youthful appearance.
Procedure
The duration of the Neck Lift is from 2 to 4 hours depending on whether the patient requires only skin tightening, liposuction to remove excess fat, cervicoplasty to remove excess skin, and/or platysmaplasty to remove and tighten the underlying neck muscle. The surgery is often performed in conjunction with face lift, brow lift, or other surgeries, which will also vary the surgery time. The surgery is typically performed under local anesthesia and oral sedation.
