Eyelid Surgery

Asian female in her 60s had uneven eyelids and bilateral eyelid ptosis. Ptosis is a condition where the eye elevating muscle is weak making the eyelid droop which can obstruct vision. This patient had bilateral ptosis where the condition was more severe in her left eye which appeared more sunken and hollow. She had ptosis correction that strengthened the weak eye elevating muscle and corrected the sunken appearance. In addition, she had Asian double eyelid surgery (Asian blepharoplasty) which created more balanced double eyelid folds. The after photo shows improved eyelid elevation (iris is more visible) and eyelid symmetry for a more rejuvenated appearance and improved visual field.
